My Space Self Storage has executed a Real Estate Purchase Agreement with the Seller to acquire the property located at 15225 W Eleven Mile Road in Oak Park, MI. The entitlement process with the City of Oak Park is currently underway, and the Owner is working with Independent Bank to provide the financing for the conversion via an SBA 504 loan. 

Storage Builders, LLC will enter a Not-To-Exceed Construction Contract to complete the conversion of the existing building to two levels of interior climate-controlled self-storage units with a loading/unloading drive-through feature through the center of the building and construct new ambient drive-up units around the open areas of the site. The total cost of construction is estimated to be $7,000,000.00. Work is expected to commence in the late spring of 2027 with completion targeted for early spring 2028. Upon completion, this project will yield 96,700 net rentable square feet of self-storage space across 975 individual units.
