My Space Self Storage purchased the former Crank’s Catering building and its associated 2.7-acre site at 27900 Hoover Road in Warren, MI in 2021. Following a years-long entitlement process extended by COVID-19 pandemic disruptions, construction began after Labor Day in 2022. Storage Builders, LLC executed the demolition of the existing structure and managed the ground-up construction of a new three-story, 137,400-square-foot facility.

Completed in April 2024 at a total construction cost of $8.3 Million, the facility features 1,040 individual, fully climate-controlled interior units totaling 98,000 NRSF. Shortly after completion, My Space Self Storage sold the asset to New York-based Prime Acquisitions Group for $16.7 Million in the second quarter of 2024. The project development was funded by Live Oak Bank.
